The film was released on 24 August 2017 and received mixed reviews from the critics. The movie has been directed by Vamsi Krishna Raghav who also directed the first part of VIP, Pencil, Adithe Adhure, Chandamama Kathalu etc. The story revolves around Srinu who becomes an undercover agent for RAW to nab criminals in India and abroad with help of his father's best friend Kalyan Babu. The film stars Ram Pothineni and Lavanya Tripathi in the leading role. The film was produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara under their banners UV Creations, Sunkar Movies and 14 Reels Entertainment. The story revolves around a RAW agent Srinu who is assigned to nab an international arms smuggler. There were a ton of action scenes in the movie which were shot in London, China and Thailand. The movie was released worldwide on August 24, 2017. The movie did a good business at the Indian box office by grossing more than ₹10 crore worldwide in its first weekend. The music was composed by Mani Sharma. The audio launch of the film was held on 13 June 2017 at Hyderabad. The soundtrack of the film consists of six songs, which received positive reviews from the audiences. The film collected a share of ₹1 crore from Nizam area on its first day and ₹2.5 crore from Ceded area on its first day at the box office. On second day, it collected a share of ₹3.75 crore from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh centers taking its two-day total to ₹6 crore nett in India alone. It collected ₹5.5 crore in its third day at the box office at the Indian box office. The second weekend was poorer for the film earning only ₹1.25 crore from India and ₹3.25 crore from overseas markets The film earned a total of ₹36.50 lakh on its first weekdays and a total of ₹76 lakh in four days at the India box office, overall bringing the total collection to around . The film received positive response from critics as well as audience saying it is a sequel to an underrated classic original film title "VIP" by Mani Sharma..
